Awakened next day by my mum’s usual morning call. Mum has improvised her method this around. Apparently, as part of the alignment strategy to energy efficiency (hike in Electricity Bill is also part of the reasons), whoever wakes up earlier will switch off the air con (And she has been practicing that with Dad!!) There is an old Chinese saying, if you have good start, you are already half-way to success. (好的开始是成功的一半)So, with a not-so-good way of waking up, I am already sensing a bad day.
Well enough, few shits happened that day.
The group eventually woke up around 10.30am, and we left home for brunch @ a Nyonya restaurant near Gurney Place. First shit happened – I open the menu, only to realize that the place is not entirely halal.. So embarrassed! Anyhow, I am glad that my fren here is not too particular (phew!) Food was not that great, but we were all hungry I guess. During lunch, KK suggested to go watch movie. Looking @ the time, 2.15pm Hellboy show seems possible.
We reached Long Pine only after Betty and Mian Hua walked down the aisle. The Pastor was making the most memorable speech when I walked in. He was saying… “Do you know a guy who kisses his wife everyday makes a better man……. Which eventually makes a better driver on the road…. Which will reduce the accident rate in Penang” …. OMG>>>> My frens here were already teasing me for my “famous” driving skills. Look like I need to find a life-time partner asap. :P (ps: I really don’t think Penang drivers are that bad. Penang motorcyclist are.. and KL drivers are worse! No offence btw. I am Penang driver driving in KL - Worst)
Wedding ceremony was beautifully set under the violet sunset, light sea breeze, fragrant roses, melodious jazzy music, cheerful crowd full of laughter, colourful bubbles blown by kids. Air filled by romance and joy of the new wedded, which somehow influences the party, especially the rest of couple in-love. We congratulated the couple after the ceremony, and have some photo-shoot capturing the moment of happiness and love, enjoying the Lychee Pimms served.

Yuhooo..
Dinner was served @ 7pm. Food was good, the company made it even better. After dinner, Betty changed into a beautifully cut sea blue chiffon cocktail dress, and flowed around the crowd to greet everyone. (Extra elegant!) The couple then gave their speech and toss. It was funny when Mian Hua describe how their relationship is as exciting as “Amazing Race”; sometimes it is as scary as “Fear Factor”.. You can see a big warm smile on Betty’s face. Congratulations again and again!
