This is a long over-due post which I have saved in My Folder for over two weeks.
A group of us drove up to Penang during the Wesak Holiday. As the baby of Penang, I brought them around the island, and our journey is full with makan2 itineraries. BKT @ Carnation Gurney Drive, Char Kuey Teow / Ice Kacang, OO-Jien (Fried Osyter) @ Lorong Selamat, Ice-cream pit-stop @ Rasa Sayang, Durian @ Balik Pulau, Nyonya food @ Hai Nan Weld Quay, drink @ QEII, and nonetheless Seafood @ Oriental Macalister. I was pretty amazed by the amount of food we managed to stuff into our stomach. Altogether, that was my third consecutive weeks back in Penang, and all the extra calories are effectively finding their new comfy home around my waistline. Despite that, I really did enjoy myself! (And will definitely consider this as my new profession..)
A new housemate just moved-in – a Korean. Yan Min and I have been found our new language teacher.. and learnt a few new words (well besides the “Sa-rang-he-yo” and “Bia-ne O-pa!” that we always hear on TV)
“Ah-niong! (Hello!) Ah-ne-ha-se-yo! (How are you?) Nan-nen Ching Wan Imida (My name is Ching Wan)”
Man-no-so-pang-ka-e-te-le-me-da“ (Nice meeting you?) -> Not sure about this man!
Kim-chi-shi-tei boh-ku shit-o? (Do you like to drink Kim-Chi Soup with me?)
Along side, we also picked up a few new “words” which are censored from this blog post *wink*
